For some time now, the abortion industry in the United States has been lamenting the ‘greying’ of their providers, particularly in rural areas. Increasingly negative attitudes towards abortion internationally continue to perpetuate its decline. Kristi Burton Brown recently authored an excellent compilation of these trends on Live Action News, referencing studies which confirm these declines in Canada, the UK, Italy, and the United States. Brown points to several factors leading to this decrease – including the educational work of Med Students for Life groups across the country. The attitude of the medical community towards abortion is clearly changing, and that change lies among medical students eager to advance the frontier of medicine to provide greater care for every patient than their predecessors ever dreamed possible.
