On Saturday, January 19th, over 2,500 pro-life young people gathered outside of Washington, D.C. for the 2019 Students for Life of America National Conference.
Over. 2,500. Pro-Life. Young. People.
Students from middle schools through graduate schools, youth group members, homeschoolers, adult chaperones and supporters; Christians, Catholics, secular pro-lifers, agnostics, and everything in between – all piled into one space, riding a high following the National National Pro-Life March, and ready to better themselves as pro-life leaders.
These attendees heard from expert pro-life speakers who know the issues and challenges facing the Pro-Life Generation, with talks like Advanced Apologetics, Abortion Industry Supply & Demand, and I Hate Politics (how to engage with public policy for Life!).
Students loved hearing from former NFL player William Green (who also did push-ups with students standing on his back), Unplanned actress Robia Scott, and even hearing their own names called out for Group of the Year awards.
Every year, we hear stories about students who attended the Conference and discovered a particular calling to this movement (or even a vocation to religious life). In that spirit, we chose “Called” as this year’s conference theme.
There is nothing better than seeing thousands of excited young people get trained up and on fire for life! Well, besides abolishing abortion. And we’ll be doing that, too.
