Kristan Hawkins, president of Students for Life of America, is coming to Cal-Berkeley on Thursday, April 4th, to deliver her Lies Feminists Tell speech, for the second school year in a row. But some leftist students are not too happy she is coming to campus, with at least one person vowing to ‘shut down’ the speech, writing, “Shut her down! Shut her down! We will not let you speak!”.
Although it’s unclear if the person is a student at Cal-Berkeley; the FB profile says they are a student at Berkeley City College. She added in a response to a comment, “Just like you nor this lady can’t control what us women should get abortions or not. You do not control our vaginas dude nor this speaker. The same thing that happenned [sic] to milo when he wanted to speak at campus will happen again to this lady here! SHUT HER DOWN!”
So apparently some students want to shut down my speech at Cal-Berkeley tomorrow. Lol good luck.

On ads for the events, some other comments include, “Why is this crap showing up in my feed”, “Boycott this event”, and images of people throwing up.
Hawkins previously spoke at Boston College to many pro-choice students, but overall the event was peaceful and, although there were many pro-choice questions and statements from the crowd, there seemed to be a general agreement that good dialogue had occured.
In a press release announcing the Spring tour, Hawkins noted, “For too long, Women and Gender Studies departments and leftist administrators have pushed the agenda of mainstream feminism; unlimited abortion, free birth control, and sex without consequences, insinuating that’s all women want or need. It’s time we expose this failed experiment for what it truly is and discuss how we can take back feminism and the women’s agenda from pro-abortion, radical feminists.”
Other upcoming tour stops include Miami University-Oxford and Western Washington University.
