It was the courageous work of sidewalk counselors with 40 Days for Life who eventually convinced now pro-life activist Abby Johnson to quit her job at Planned Parenthood, as depicted in the recent successful movie, ‘Unplanned.’ Now, pro-lifers in D.C. have the opportunity to convince more abortion facility workers to quit their jobs and in a very public way; by screening the movie ‘Unplanned’ on the front lawn of the D.C. Planned Parenthood.
According to a post in the FB group, “On Friday, July 19, at 7:30 PM, we invite you to a special screening of the powerful film, “Unplanned” in front of the Planned Parenthood mega abortion clinic in Washington, D.C. so you can see what Abby Johnson saw.” The event is being organized by several pro-life groups and led by pro-life minister Reverend Pat Mahoney, a fixture in pro-life politics.

The D.C. Planned Parenthood, shockingly, is very anti-pro-life free-speech. Just a few weeks ago, an employee threatened to arrest us for chalking in front of the facility. We wrote, “After a weekend of training for the Students for Life Action state captain program, about 10 state captains and Katie Lodjic, a Students for Life Regional Coordinator, wanted to chalk pro-life messages outside of the D.C. Planned Parenthood, where several other Students for Life leaders, including some who were in town for both Fellowship Weekend and state captain training had chalked several days prior.
The students began chalking around 10 A.M. on Tuesday, July 2nd on the sidewalks. Some of the messages included, “Love Them Both”, phone numbers for pregnancy help organizations, and other supportive messages, including, “You’re Stronger Than Your Circumstances.”
An employee from Planned Parenthood came outside around 10:15 AM and told the state captains that they couldn’t chalk and they were violating the FACE Act, which is used by abortion facilities to silence protesters. When asked what he meant, the employee said that they were blocking the facility entrances, since people would have to walk around them. A state captain noted that no one was blocked from entering the doors.
The employee then threatened to call the police on them if they continued chalking on the sidewalks and blocking the entrance, even though no one was prevented from entering the facility. According to a state captain on the scene, at least 4 people were able to walk right through them to enter the facility without any trouble. “
