Expanding your media coverage is a great way for you to fulfill your group’s mission because you can reach more people with your message, and it doubles as an effective recruiting tool. It takes time to build relationships with the media in your area, but that time will pay off in the long run. Don’t be discouraged by negative media, but be persistent with promoting your group and building a positive image. Use all media platforms to build your brand on campus and in the community. Be aggressive at reaching out to media contacts and getting your group’s name and mission in the news.
