We were expecting 35. But 68+ of the nation’s top medical students, professors, and clinicians poured into the presentation at Mayo Medical School in Rochester, Minnesota. They gathered to take part in the 2nd stop of Medical Students for Life of America’s Spring National Bioethics Symposium & Tour with Dr. John Bruchalski. As the 2nd leg of the 23 medical schools and universities tour through 15 states, Dr. John initiates respectful dialogue on reproductive medicine and conscience rights, and whether or not abortion is good healthcare.
Is abortion access a dead topic?
…There are 50 Mayo medical students per class. With the 3rd and 4th years unable to attend lunch presentations because of rotations, that means that at least half of the school’s available students came to join the bioethics dialogue today.
After spending Tuesday night with leading University of Minnesota medical students and now with Mayo, we set out to drive the 426 miles to St. Louis, Missouri, to meet with Washington University-St. Louis along with students from 4 other universities. Before the tour is completed in Washington D.C. 1 week from today, we will present to medical students and undergraduates from Harvard, University of Pittsburgh, and George Washington among others.
So the pressing question now is, will you ‘meet us in St. Louis?’
