Imagine you’re an accountant and one of the companies you provide services to is facing an audit that could force them to close down. You’d imagine, being dedicated to providing high-quality service AND defending your reputation that you would do everything you could to answer the IRS’ questions and provide evidence that you and your client followed the law, right? Or imagine that you are a legitimate doctor that provides real healthcare but your practice could be shutdown because of a lawsuit by a patient. You would make sure to hire an attorney and mount the best defense of your practice that you could, in the name of protecting your livelihood and and being able to continue to serve your community by practicing medicine, right?
Ahh but you have to remember that there’s the normal, ethically structured and rational world WE live in and then there’s the fantasy land where the ends justify the means world that abortionists and Planned Parenthood inhabit. Unfortunately, the selfishness inherent in Planned Parenthood and their abortionists could harm Planned Parenthood, since several abortionists at their clinic, who also are affiliated with Washington University Hospital, refuse to be interviewed by the state of Missouri, in response to why 80 ambulances have been called to the St. Louis Planned Parenthood in just a few years.
Yupp. You see, Planned Parenthood argues that it’s just too dang hard for the abortionists who work in St. Louis, and were obviously able to travel to the St. Louis Planned Parenthood when it meant being able to induce heart attack abortions or give a teenage girl dangerous RU-486 drugs to induce a toilet bowl abortions, to be able to travel, presumably to St. Louis (really within St. Louis) to be interviewed. After all, medical compliance and patient safety is just a right-wing Republican plot, and abortionists shouldn’t have to follow the same rules as those lowly doctors who actually work every day to preserve and defend human life. Chumps.
And to the rescue comes Judge Michael Stelzer, who said that Planned Parenthood was right; their abortionists shouldn’t have to answer questions about the abortions they committed at the St. Louis Planned Parenthood. According to CBS News, “A St. Louis circuit judge sided with Planned Parenthood on Tuesday afternoon, ruling that the testimony of non-employees was an “undue burden” and that the state’s subpoena to interview them “should be quashed.'”
Undue burden? Hardship? Aren’t we always hearing about how it’s not about the money for abortionists; they’d travel anywhere for the opportunity to commit abortions. I mean, LeRoy Carhart used to fly from Nebraska to D.C. on a regular basis to commit abortions and now he’s got an office there. Willie Parker travels all over to commit abortions. Heck, you’d assume if there was a nickel to be made on selling a baby’s arm or lung they’d hop on the next flight to make it happen. But it’s too much of a hardship for the abortionists to get over to the St. Louis courthouse, from Washington University which is in St. Louis?
