Students for Life Action Condemns the FDA’s decision to Allow “Death by mail,” making abortion easier to sell for Corporate Abortion while Risking Women’s Lives

Reporting on behalf of our sister organization, Students for Life Action. “What is tragic is that more lives will be lost because the Biden Administration wanted to make it easier to deliver death by mail,” said Students for Life Action President Kristan Hawkins. “What’s convenient and profitable for Corporate Abortion isn’t best for women and preborn children, who will pay the ultimate price.” WASHINGTON D.C. (04-13-2021) – In reaction a letter sent by acting FDA Commissioner Dr. Janet Woodcock indicating new, weakened health and safety standards will be applied to Chemical Abortion pills and sent to the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists about their

A Catholic University Promotes Planned Parenthood As A Resource For Students

Edgewood College, a Dominican, Catholic, college in Wisconsin, is telling students to go to Planned Parenthood for help, despite the fact that Planned Parenthood committed 332,757 abortions last year and the Catholic Church officially opposes abortion.

Its “Off-Campus Wellness Resources” lists two Planned Parenthood locations as a resource as a low-cost medical option. It’s unclear why they need to even include Planned Parenthood on the list, as the rest of the options appear to be neutral options, such as hospitals and services provided by Catholic Charities.

Students for Life Action, the C4 arm of Students for Life of America, has been reaching out to Catholic and Christian schools and asking them to remove Planned Parenthood as a resource, successfully getting Seattle University to remove Planned Parenthood.

Katie Lodjic, national field director for Students for Life Action, asked Edgewood College on October 2nd to remove Planned Parenthood as a resource, but to no avail. A follow-up e-mail on October 21st was also left unanswered. You can read the full letter here: Edgewood Letter final.

The issue of Edgewood College promoting Planned Parenthood is not new. A Chronicle of Higher Education article in 2011 notes that the Cardinal Newman Society requested Edgewood College remove references to Planned Parenthood.

The College of St. Rose, a Catholic college in New York, refuses to remove Planned Parenthood from its website. The librarian at the university said the college is a “purely secular institution” and said that “abortion is healthcare.” The university said he wasn’t speaking on their behalf, but hasn’t responded to our request to remove Planned Parenthood as a resource, nor clarify if they are a secular institution or not.

A Wikipedia entry for the school changed from “private Roman Catholic college” as of September 13, 2019 to “private nondenominational college” as of September 24, 2019 according to Wikipedia’s edit history. Our initial inquiry was made on September 5th, 2019. The change was made by an Albany-based IP address, according to whatismyipaddress.com and gps-coordinates.org.

If your religiously-affiliated school is promoting Planned Parenthood, contact Katie Lodjic at klodjic@studentsforlife.org.
