North Dakota Judges Forced to Allow Down Syndrome Abortions Even Though They’re “Eugenic”

Something unusual happened recently in a courthouse in Fargo, North Dakota. Two federal appeals judges, Ralph Erickson and Bobby Shepherd, were reviewing an Arkansas bill that would make it illegal to target babies with Down Syndrome for abortion. They wanted the bill to be allowed. But a 1992 judicial precedent forced them to deem it unconstitutional. So what did Judge Erickson do? He asked the Supreme Court to overturn the previous bad decision and give states the authority to ban abortions. The dissent written by Erickson delved deeply into his concerns that this type of license to kill based

SFLA Joins Coalition Urging the FDA to Stop Illegal Abortion Drug Sales

Students for Life of America Joins Coalition Letter Calling on the FDA to Follow Through and Protect Women from Predatory Websites Selling Abortion Pills Illegally

“Making it easier for those in the business of abortion to push pills quickly, without any effort to protect women’s lives, makes no public policy sense,” said Hawkins.

WASHINGTON D.C. (05-04-2020) – Students for Life of America (SFLA) President Kristan Hawkins joined onto a coalition letter asking FDA Commissioner Stephen Hahn to follow through on FDA warning letters to websites illegally prescribing and/or selling mifepristone in the United State and to further investigate their practices. SFLA has been fighting the dangerous distribution of abortion drugs on college campuses and elsewhere, confronting the reality that today almost 40 percent of abortions are carried out with deadly Chemical Abortion pills. During the coronavirus crisis, abortion advocates have attempted to force illegal distribution of the pills, without examination or oversight.

“The abortion industry willingly risks women’s lives by distributing chemical abortion drugs in ways that we know have resulted in women’s deaths,” said Hawkins. “The FDA must hold the line on the health and safety standards in place to protect women from a predatory abortion sales team that wants to drop a few pills in the mail or e-mail a prescription to a pharmacy and medically abandon the women who take them.”

Hawkins has written extensively on the dangers of the pills to women, including at Fox News, The Federalist, the Washington Times, and the Daily Caller.
