Did the Pro-Life Movement Cause an Increase in Late-Term Abortions?

The abortion lobby says yes. But the numbers tell a different story. The Journal of the American Medical Association recently published a study specific to Texas that assessed the state’s postponement of surgical abortion during the early months of COVID. The conclusion of the study seems certain that late-term abortion numbers increased as a result (something the pro-abortion Guttmacher Institute and National Abortion Federation jumped on immediately). Back in March, Texas was one of multiple states that deemed abortion a “nonessential service.” Reading the AMA study with no other background information would indeed raise most people’s suspicions about the effect

Planned Parenthood Vows to Force Catholic Nuns to Fund Abortions

It’s always a similar story – a pro-life victory happens and Planned Parenthood comes out threatening to undo it. Sad, but unsurprising. After the Supreme Court implemented President Trump’s pro-life order — protecting the Little Sisters of the Poor from being forced to fund abortions — Planned Parenthood’s CEO Alexis McGill Johnson said the ruling “is egregious — people rely on birth control for their health, for their livelihoods, and for their ability to determine their own futures.”

Funny how they get uptight about pro-lifers questioning the legitimacy of rulings like Roe v. Wade, while they are upset over this one.  But it just shows how self-interested they are to complain about religious sisters who dedicate themselves to caring for the elderly while Planned Parenthood’s “care” is killing babies and lying to mothers.

In fact, if the judges didn’t rule in favor of the religious order, they would have been forced to pay fines of approximately $70 million per year, if they were to continue operating without paying for abortions and abortifacients.

“So, that would have essentially had to end our mission. Because, I mean, who could afford $70 million in fines a year?” Sister Constance Veit told Fox News.

The freedom of conscience act and the first amendment right to freedom of religion are meant to ensure that religious organizations like the Little Sisters of the Poor are protected from being forced to violate their beliefs. Planned Parenthood doesn’t seem to care as they continue to push their own deadly agenda on businesses and taxpayers.

Johnson insisted on a push back “This is not over. We will do everything we can to ensure those who need birth control and other sexual and reproductive health care can access it.”

Other abortion supporters are on board with Planned Parenthood’s targeting of the American people such as when presidential candidate Joe Biden recently announced he will ensure that religious organizations must be required to provide birth control coverage.
